Reporting to: Production Foreman
The successful candidate must adhere to the Health and Safety Act. Work according to SGB-SMIT POWER MATLA quality standards, follow procedures and instructions. The incumbent will be responsible for fabricating pipes and parts for transformer tanks, fit cooling arrangement (headers) to tanks and dismantling the tanks after line up process. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, practice good housekeeping standards at all times, complete assigned activities on time and be prepared to work shifts and overtime as and when required.
- Grade 12 with Mathematics or Physical Science;
- Semi-Skilled Boilermaker or Welder;
- Must have Boilermaking or Welding Certificates;
- Must have at least 1 years’ working experience in a similar environment;
- Be able to do physical work;
- Must have great communication skills.
