Job Specification
SGB-SMIT POWER MATLA is looking for a suitably qualified CNC setter programmer. The candidate will be responsible for writing machine codes to automate power driven machines that cut and finish metal, wood or plastic such as lathes, grinders and mills. The successful candidate must adhere to the Health and Safety Act, work according to the company quality standards, follow procedures and instructions. It is essential that the candidate practices good housekeeping standards at all times as well as completes assigned activities timeously.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12/N3;
- CNC Programmer certificate is a requirement;
- Minimum 3 years‘ experience working in a manufacturing environment;
- Have knowledge of at least two axis programming and setting of CNC lathe applications;
Core Competencies:
- Must be able to read and Interpret drawings;
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime as and when required;
- Great team player.;.
