A career opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Grid Blaster/Grinding Operator within the Production Department based at the Pretoria West Power factory.
Job Specification
The candidate will be responsible for operating a pneumatic grinder to clean steel components related to transformer equipment. Blasting steel parts with a pneumatic controlled machine to remove mill scale and other impurities. Create a paint profile on steel parts. Adherence to the Health and Safety Act is imperative, the candidate must also work according to SGB-SMIT POWER MATLA quality standards, follow procedures and instructions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12/N3
- Ability to operate Pneumatic tools and equipment
- Grit Blasting Certification
- A minimum of 2 years in a similar environment
