Department: Production – Distribution Transformers Plant – Cape Town
Overview
A career opportunity exists for a Multi-Skilled Hyster Driver at SGB-SMIT POWER MATLA based at the Cape Town Distribution Plant. The candidate will be required to operate the Hyster in a safe manner, however, not specifically limited to this function. The preferred candidate will be a multi skilled individual who will be required to assist with Operational Requirements. Adherence to the Health and Safety Act is imperative, the candidate must also work according to SGB-SMIT POWER MATLA quality standards, follow procedures and instructions.
Outputs
- Operate the Hyster in a safe manner.
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations.
- Assist in Production (other departments) where needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Valid hyster license.
Core Competencies
- Good Communication skills (verbal and written).
- Resilience/ perseverance and teamwork.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail.
