SGB-SMIT POWER MATLA  designs and manufactures oil distribution transformers (LDT) ranging up to 20 MVA 132kV. Distribution transformers provide the final voltage transformation in the electric power distribution system, stepping down the voltage used in the distribution lines to levels used by the customers.

We have the skills and resources to deal with customer needs, however complex these may be in terms of engineering or assembly requirements; special accessories and special materials or components. The technical specification for these types of transformers include:

• Off-circuit Tap Switch (OCTS) or Onload Tapchanger (OLTC) with a tapping range of ± 2.5% to ± 5% (OCTS) and + 5% to – 15% (OLTC)
• The terminations may either be HV Outdoor Open Bushings or LV Outdoor Open Bushings or alternatively HV and LV Cable Boxes (only up to 36kV)
• The tank construction may be free Breathing with Welded Lids or Flat under Base or alternatively Skid Base
